In a freak accident early this evening, Blackhand was found dead after he had made a three-story fall. An anonymous caller tipped our reporter that the floor of his residence collapsed as a large group had been -what seemed to be- partying on the wooden floor. Unfortunately none of the underlying floors were strong enough to hold the group as they were crashing down.
Blackhand was found dead minutes later by one of his grunts who came rushing in to find out what the noise was about. The startled grunt explains that his master had landed, unfortunately, in the heart of the furnace he was so proud of: "Found master in lava. Warm and cozy, just as he liked it. *sob*"
Officials are looking into the exact proceedings of tonight because a lot of what transpired is still unclear. For instance, no party people -nor their bodies- were found when the officials arrived, and all treasure chests in the building were found open and emptied.
Guildleader Madmike (Exodus): "We need to prepare for the darkest scenario: that this was not actually an accident. I think a guild has crossed the line. I have a strong suspicion about who is behind this..."
Guildleader Urzug (Continental Drift): "It's way too early to raise such unreasonable suspicions Madmike! There's not even been an official investigation yet! Besides, Blackhand was a bad-ass, do you really care he's dead? Good riddance I say!"
After three weeks of working on the final encounter, team CD finally blew away Blackhand. 10/10 heroic clear! Special thanks to Dakloh, Fizzy and Grim for filling a few blank spots in our roster tonight!
In an interview with the press, the CD officer team announced their plans to take on mythic difficulty.
What made you decide to go mythic?
Sanfeng: "We've been working toward this day for a long time. We expect to apprehend Blackhand within the next few weeks. After that our team will be up for a new challenge."
That challenge is ofcourse a major step up from the current difficulty level, how do you expect to deal with this?
Aery: "Most importantly we are now looking at class balance, and also we want to make sure there are no holes in the roster so that we have a full raid on all days."
So, what classes or specialisations are you looking for?
Aery: "Are you... A moon-loving creature, in possession of a huge fluff-factor, ready to let the power of the stars come down onto your foes;
Are you... A dark soul, heart blacker than the night, corrupting friends and foes alike, your soulstones a faint light at the end of the tunnel;
Are you... Master of the storm, one with the destructive forces of nature, your totems one click away from spreading death and destruction
Are you... Unmatched in accuracy, deadly with arrows and bullets alike, the Robin Hood of the new age
Urzug (guildmaster) interrupts: "Screw those profiles. We need dps. Ranged preferred, but melee will do just fine. Anyone who is up for the biggest challenge this world can throw at us can apply. Mythic is not for weaklings though. You've been warned!"
Following the recent shut-down of Blast Furnace, officials have now opened the hunt for Blackhand. With a capital 50.000 gold reward for his head, bounty hunters of all races and classes are now plotting on apprehending the former Blackfoundry CEO.
Anonymous sources in the investigation team report that Blackhand has taken refuge to the The Crucible, a fortified headquarters inside the Blackrock Foundry. As of yet, no-one has been able to gain access to it. One of the investigators: "His (Blackhand, red.) foul smell is all over that place. We can hear metal banging sounds coming from behind the barred gates. Something is going on there for sure. I swear, he's solemnly up to no good."
Continental Drift is preparing to join the hunt as well. Monk Jobbeh: "Nothing lasts for ever but the earth and the sky. When we're done with him, he'll be but dust in the wind."
Last night, officials closed down the Blackrock Foundry energy plant -also known as Blast Furnace-, after irregularities had been reported. CEO Blackhand is facing a long list of charges, such as using untrained operator personnel, engineers bringing explosives into a high-risk room and use of an unlicensed experimental elemental heat source. The shut down follows after a series of investigations on the operations in Black Foundry. In the last couple of weeks, officials already closed other sections of the foundry. The machine workshop did not comply to the ISO-1337 standard, a black iron ore mine was found employing a large host of unpayed creatures and last but not least officials freed some some poor exotic animals from a neglected stables.
The operation to shut down the furnace was executed with military precision by the CD raid team. With bombs flying through the air, heavily armed security guards trying to stop the raid, elementalists setting free the elemental captured inside the furnace, and fires blazing everywhere, the team kept it's cool and proceeded as planned. After some 10 minutes, the team reported the situation to be under control: Blast furnace shut down!
Blackhand himself was not found in the premises after the raid. This morning he was moved to #1 on the most-wanted list on Draenor. With all guilds on the lookout for him it is expected he will be apprehended shortly. In the upcoming days, forensic specialists will further investigate the Foundry, including the Blackhands' office "The Crucible", to build up further evidence in the case against Blackhand.
With 9/10 progress in BF heroic, Continental Drift is on collission course with Blackhand!
Blackrock Railways officials confirm that they have changed the train schedule to better align the arrivals and departures with the National Universal Bus Schedule (N.U.B.S.). Passengers are now asked to jump from one moving vehicle to another to reduce delays caused by trains actually stopping at stations. A pilot run earlier this week shows a major improvement in the accuracy of train arrivals and departures. A slight rise in the ammount of casualties was also reported, but operator Thogar says in his press statement: "Our passengers have spoken for a more reliable schedule. And dead passengers don't speak anyway."
Jobbeh Productions movie announced
Fans all over the world rejoice as a new Jobbeh productions motion picture was announced this weekend. The as-of-yet untitled movie will make heavy use of S.E.L.F.I.E. camera shots. The title song "Dust in the Wind" by Kansas was chosen by Jobbeh personally because, as he stated emotionally "it puts tears in my eyes". It definitely puts tears in our eyes as well.
Foodbank Donations gone up
Clearly shaken, representatives of the Continental Drift foodbank received a large anonymous donation of food this week. This donation is the next in a series of donations that seem to happen more and more frequently. While it's too early to jump to conclusions, some analysts point out that there may be a correlation with the sushi hype of last month. Now that the "new" has worn off, people are dumping their stocks en-mass. What's happening with all this food? Storemaster Maxxr exlains: "We are first going to identify those who are in real need of food support. Once it has been established a raider is indeed starving, we will run it against the food council to determine if the raider is entitled for this epic food or that another raider will benefit more from it."
